How to Regulate a Pendulum Clock

Should your clock run fast or slow, the time may be adjusted in the following manner:

• Locate the regulating nut on the threaded rod at the bottom of the pendulum.
• If the clock is running too fast, turn the regulating nut to the left. This will slow down the time.
• If the clock is running too slow, turn the regulating nut to the right. This will speed up the time.
• Reset the time and wind the clock.
• Complete these instructions in small increments at a time.
• Check the clock after a few days.
• Repeat the regulating process until the time is accurate.
